“Mehad” is a national initiative launched by the Isa Cultural Centre in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The initiative aims to create a solid cultural structure for Bahraini children, instill national values and concepts and develop the skills of Bahraini authors by issuing a series of books directed towards children in the field of children’s literature and stories. The initiative is inspired by values, traditions, experiences, daily life, environment and actual needs in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The initiative aims to:

• enrich children’s libraries with books on children’s literature and stories
• support and refine the skills of Bahraini writers and authors in the field of children’s literature and stories
• highlight young Bahraini talents of writers and authors in the field of children’s literature and stories

All of this is within the framework of the Isa Cultural Centre’s strategic objectives in encouraging and supporting intellectual and cultural creativity at the national level and providing books and publications in various field of knowledge and culture.
